Sasha's Photomerge



This photo represents what personas would overshadow one's mind when encountered with an eating disorder. The first persona would, of course, be the purging itself. This would represent the person's dire need in becoming thinner, or to be classified as more beautiful. Another identity a person possessing an eating disorder would showcase would be the initial breakdown of it all. This would represent the disappointment in one's self for letting themselves fall down a path of destruction, but would also never be able to change the fate of it all. A final persona that would result from the occurrence of an eating disorder would be the initial shock one would feel course through them. This would showcase them being surprised by all the damage they could commit by using only things natural to them. Possibly, a persona they could encounter would be that of saving themselves. It being post-produced to be black and white would show how it would be an alternate reality, only open to those who truly wish to change. With the way of saving the subject being their own hand reaching for them, that would give it an intimate feel, because of the way it portrays the person being their own savior. Since it is not apparent; or in colour, to the subject, it would become unknown to them. Therefore, it being in black and white would represent the subject overlooking the chance to save his/herself. 

Jessica's Photomerge



This picture represents what happens during school and what happens in the students mind. When the teacher is around, most of us do our work and stay on task like how Alyzea is (in the middle of the picture). We stay to ourselves and can be quite timid at times. But there are moments where our minds wonder off into space. The rest of the Alyzeas' represent our thoughts and what we want to do. Trust me, we have all thought about doing all these things during class. It can also show how we act differently towards other people. We could be the one in the middle for certain people and for our friends we are definitely the ones around the working Alyzea. (Click on the picture to make it clearer)





I used Adobe Photoshop Elements to merge my photos. A photomerge is when you take multiple photos and combine all of them to make one photo with parts that came from seperate pictures. You crop parts that you want in your final picture. Repeat this with every picture you have until you are satisfied with your final piece. Then it is your choice to post produce and do any necessary editing.

Mary Jane's Photomerge

This is a colourful photo that represents some possible things to do in the art room, or school in general. In school we use many different supplies and here on the right of this photo Zhan's sister is going through sheets of tissue paper. In the front we have Zhan writing on paper, while behind her she is attempting to draw out her sister who is posing cross legged on a table.  She is also sitting on the back table reading a booklet. There are many creative activities we do to learn at school. School is like art and this photo shows the positivity and fun learning at school can give us.

Inigo's photo merge

This is my Photomerge Assignment. This photo captures the beauty and art of the checker board(not Tj). Tj claims that he is so skilled at checkers that he made a time remnant (flash) of himself to see if he could beat himself.. The spectator Tj is very horrible at checkers so he is not allowed to play. one two three four five.. next sentence the reason he's at school is because he was the best at playing checkers at grade nine.

Tj's Photomerge



This is my photomerge project. In this picture it shows Inigo playing cards with himself. The Inigo looking down at the cards (left) has just lied about having a card in go fish. The Inigo in the pointing(middle) is pointing at the card that the left Inigo said he didn't have. The Inigo on the right is the Inigo that asked for a card and got lied to. He knows that he cheated so that is why he has his arms up.

Phoebe's Photomerge






This is my photomerge assignment. This photo is supposed to represent Theo's personality and how he likes to make everything fun. The image of him squatting on a chair represents the care free side of him. The one of him slightly sitting on a table represents how good looking he thinks he is and how much he feels himself all the time. The image of him that seems as if he is trying to find something represents the side of him that likes to look for "fish in the sea".


The picture on slide 5 makes Theo look kind of like a ghost because the lighting kept on changing in the gallery. That is why there was a lot of discolouration in the picture before I edited it. I had to erase the blurry white areas in the background, then had to fill in some parts of Theo to make sure he didn't look erased and faded.
